Spotter Guide: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Jeddah is one of Saudi Arabia's best cities for car spotting, with a strong supercar and luxury car scene throughout the year. The busiest periods are usually Thursday and Friday evenings, especially during cooler months from October to March.

  1. Jeddah Corniche

Especially around the start of the walking track area

The Corniche is one of the city's most popular spotting locations thanks to its waterfront, cafés, restaurants, and open roads. The best spotting times are usually Thursday and Friday evenings from 7:00 PM until midnight, with activity increasing after sunset.

The best areas to check are around the beginning of the Corniche walking track, where cars frequently pass by and visitors gather. The waterfront roads provide good opportunities for both static and moving shots.

2. Prince Faisal bin Fahd Road

Around the racetrack area, promenade, and Jeddah Yacht Club

This area is one of the strongest locations for spotting rare cars in Jeddah. The road around the racetrack area and promenade often attracts performance cars, especially during events and weekends. The area around the Jeddah Yacht Club can also produce excellent sightings, particularly in the evenings.

The best times are usually Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:30 PM onwards, with event days providing some of the best opportunities for rare vehicles.

3. King Abdulaziz Road

Between Heraa Street and Sari Street

This section of King Abdulaziz Road is one of the city's most reliable roads for spotting luxury and performance vehicles. The combination of shopping areas, restaurants, and heavy traffic makes it a good route for seeing a wide variety of cars.

The best times are usually Thursday and Friday evenings from 7:00 PM onwards, especially after sunset.

Several major roads in Jeddah regularly have interesting sightings while owners travel between popular destinations. Prince Sultan Road is known for its restaurants, cafés, and luxury dealerships. Haramain Road often sees high-end SUVs, sports cars, and modified vehicles, while Tareeq Al Madinah (Madinah Road) is another reliable spot, particularly during evening traffic and weekends.

It is highly recommended to check national holiday calendars, local automotive Instagram pages (@timeoutjeddah and @destinationjeddah in particular) and event announcements before planning a spotting trip. Saudi Arabia has frequent extended weekends and seasonal events, which can significantly increase the number of interesting cars on the roads. Events such as Jeddah Season, automotive gatherings, and exhibitions are especially good opportunities for spotting rare vehicles.

Most spotting locations have nearby cafés, restaurants, convenience stores, and fuel stations. While evenings are generally the most reliable time, unexpected sightings can happen anywhere in the city, so keeping an eye on major roads and popular areas is always worthwhile.
